Auditions!Experienced actors with strong improv skills are needed for a 1950s murder mystery improvisation one-day event.
Our troupe will be thrown into the deep end, mingling with the guests at a private function this October. They must
· stay in character at all times
· remember very specific details from their character sheets
· judge how many clues they can safely reveal to guests without giving away the murderer
· improvise in close quarters, talking with guests who are strangers to the actor but friends and acquaintances of the character.
You will be given your character sheets and co-improvisers details by 1st August so you can learn, practice and work with BRC to finalise details such as costumes.
The troupe may like to gather regularly during August and September to encourage rapport and practice improv skills. There will be 8 ‘formal’ rehearsals spread out between September and mid-October. Transport will be provided to and from the event, to be held in Dardanup, on 26th October – this will be a full day event.
Characters needed – think stereotypical Agatha Christie vibes:
- Lady Pokeingham – Lady of the manor and the “host” of the party.
- Gino Vincenzi – a handsome, suave Italian hotelier.
- Rev Smeeton – A vicar .
- Kate the Maid – As the name suggests - a maid.
- Harry The Gardener – A gardener.
And if we get inundated with folks wanting to take part, we may expand the cast by another one, the sister of Harry the Gardener.
