We are so excited to launch the audition workshop for Shrek The Musical! We hope you are looking forward to this too?
Venue: Rehearsal Rooms at The Athenaeum Centre.
We will have audition signage up from the Front of the theatre to direct you to right place.
Timings:
The audition workshop will start at 10am and will have a number of different stages:
Approximate Audition times for the Sunday workshop:
Arrival - 10:00am - 10:15am
Welcome - 10:15 - 10:30am (parents, please stay until this section has finished).
Full cast dance audition - 10:30am - 11:30pm
Full cast vocal audition - 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Shrek, Fiona, Donkey Character Pairing Carousel - 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Principal Audition time slots from - 2:00pm (time slots will be issued at registration. Once completed, auditionees are free to be collected from auditions)
Auditionees, should bring with them food and water for the entire day. They will not be permitted to leave until the auditions have finished / they have finished their audition.
There are two pre-audition sessions held on Monday 19th and Wednesday 21st January from 7pm - 9:30pm. You are encouraged to attend both as you will gain as much help and support with your auditions during these sessions from the panel. Content will be taught briefly on Saturday however it will taught in more depth on the Monday and Wednesday.
If you are unable to audition on Saturday 24th January, you can book a pre-audition session on Wednesday 21st January at the end of the session. Pre-booking of this is essential and will close on Monday 12th January. To book this session, email [email protected]. This pre-audition session is only for those who are unable to attend on the Saturday. The majority of auditionees will be expected at the audition workshop.
Prior to the audition, you need to do the following:

4. Read the audition FAQs - will be released soon.
5. Practice and prepare the audition material for the character(s) that you wish to audition for.
