All UMass Boston students, all majors, are invited to audition for the Fall 2025 Theater Arts Mainstage production ofNatasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812

An electropop opera ripped from a scandalous slice of Tolstoy’s War and Peace, Great Comet is a dazzling, genre-defying musical and a ravishing party from start to finish. Auditioners are asked to prepare a song of 16 bars. Selections from the play are preferred, but any song you're comfortable with is welcome.

Auditions will be held September 9 and 10, 6-9 p.m., with callbacks on September 11, 6-9 p.m.

Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 will open in The University Hall Theatre for eight performances beginning November 13.
Roles are open to UMass Boston students from ALL majors, all experience levels. Love to sing? You should audition. Never did live theatre before but have been curious? You should audition. UMass Boston Theatre Arts welcomes students from across the University to explore, play, sing, and create in a safe environment.
Note: Members of the UMass Boston Choruses are encouraged to audition, as the rehearsal schedule will allow participation in both.
