About this Event
An introduction to auditions for the stage. This session will help you prepare for University Theatre, Community Theaters, and Professional auditions. We’ll discuss cold readings, how to find a suitable monologue and song, how to prepare your sheet music and work with your accompanist, what to wear based on the audition call, some tips on dance auditions, and what the heck people are talking about when they ask for “special skills.” We’ll briefly discuss headshots and resumes as well. (90-minutes, Lecture-Demonstration, suitable for beginners, no preparation needed)
