Auditions can be as equal parts exciting as they are terrifying. It's not uncommon to walk into the room jittery with nerves, buzzing with excitement, sick with doubt or a wild concoction of all three. This one-day crash course is designed to introduce young actors (grades 9-12) to the expectations of the audition room, through play, trial and feedback. Whether you have a tertiary audition on your horizon or want to expand your general knowledge for future opportunities, this crash-course will help you walk into your next audition with fresh confidence! This workshop will be centred specifically around auditioning for plays, acting degrees and theatre ensembles (not musical theatre or film), but young creatives of all disciplines are welcome to attend. Throughout the day we will cover Group Auditions; how to simultaneously fit in and stand out, Solo Auditions; how to source and prepare the right text for your audition, and Self Tape Auditions; how to set up and record your audition from home.
