With over 17 years of dedicated service in state auditing, Tammara has honed her expertise across various agencies including the Department of Public Safety (DPS), the Department of Insurance, and the Department of Aging and Disability Services. In her current role as a Senior Audit Manager at DPS, Tammara is committed to providing excellence in progressive internal auditing through quality-focused innovation and partnership.

Tammara holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Angelo State University and a Master of Business Administration from Texas State University. She is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Professional, and Certified Government Auditing Professional. Tammara contributes to the auditing community as a CIA Item Writer, creating examination content for the Instititue of Internal Auditor’s (IIA) only globally recognized certification for internal auditors.

Katambra Rose is a Senior Internal Audit Analyst with the Department of Public Safety with over 19 years dedicated to state government. As a proud alumna of the University of Texas at Austin, she began her career providing financial and administrative management support across various UT departments before joining the Chief Auditor’s Office in her current role where she continues to play a crucial part in ensuring agency divisions are “Audit Ready”. Outside of her professional life, she is an avid traveler and a passionate connoisseur of sci-fi, fantasy, and action films, always ready to share her latest adventures and movie recommendations. With a strong foundation in compliance, state governmental operations, and internal controls, Katambra has successfully led numerous audit initiatives and will share valuable insights on best practices for maintaining audit readiness.
