Welcome to audiOhm, a weekly electronic psychedelic sound bath held every Monday at Studio 34 from 6pm to 7:15pm. This immersive sound experience is led by Brett Zweiman and features a rotating cast of talented local musicians and sound makers.audiOhm is a live electronic sound bath that combines elements of meditation, improvisation, and psychedelic music to create an immersive and transformative experience. A combination of synthesized electronic tones, live instrumentation, as well as samples of environmental sounds were used to create a rich and dynamic soundscape in real-time.
audiOhm begins with a meditation on the breath, which is loosely based on Anapana meditation, a traditional practice that involves focusing the attention on the breath as it flows in and out of the body. This helps participants to quiet their minds and enter a state of relaxation, preparing them for the journey ahead. This is followed by a period of silence, during which the musicians gradually introduce a range of frequencies, rhythms and timbres starting with subtle and minimal sounds, gradually adding layers and complexity.
