Audio Storytelling Festival 2025

EBU Audio Storytelling Festival (previously IFC) is an annual gathering of professionals working with radio and audio content. Produced by the EBU Audio Storytelling Group, the event is open to staff of EBU Member organizations as well as independent radio producers.

The theme for 2025 is Community and Connections – both of which make us better storytellers.

The four-day ASF Vilnius 2025 agenda will incorporate unique insights into the Lithuanian audio storytelling scene, alongside group listening sessions and facilitated discussions, the “How I made it” masterclasses by the award-winning authors, and many more talks around the best practice and craft of audio storytelling, as well as carefully curated cultural evening events. Detailed program will be published mid-April.

ASF Vilnius 2025 will take place at the Arts Printing House (Menų spaustuvė), a performing arts venue and a meeting place established in a former printing house dating back to 1585. The venue is in Vilnius Old Town close to the main tourist sites and the artists’ district of Užupis.

We will welcome you to collect your badge at the ASF Vilnius 2025 info desk at the venue on Šiltadaržio str. 6, LT-01124, from Sunday May 25th, 2pm -7pm. For those arriving later, registration desk will be open from Monday May 26th 8am.

We are very excited to welcome you in Vilnius in May, which is typically bursting with greenery, birdsong and sunlight by then.

Most probably you’ll arrive by air: International Vilnius Čiurlionis Airport (VNO) operates direct flights to Europe’s main cities, with flight times of only three hours or less. The airport is only a 30-minute ride by public transport or 15-minute by taxi from the city centre. For more information see www.vno.lt.

You can reach city centre by public bus (direct bus No. 88, express bus No. 3G or night bus No. N88), it takes 30 mins, ticket costs 0,90€, a ticket can be purchased using contactless payment at the machine onboard. See more here.

For those who prefer a cab, the approved taxi stand can be found in front of the airport’s arrivals terminal. There are also dependable and reasonably priced taxi and car sharing services available. A ride to the city centre would cost around 10-15€ depending on traffic. See more here.

Other less CO2 intensive ways: If you prefer a more sustainable trip and do not mind changing trains on the border (yes, there is a story involved), you can also reach Vilnius by rail via Kaunas. A car, a bus is an option too, as well as a ferry to Klaipėda. More here.

Additionally, please note that our main venue the Arts Printing House is at the central location, well connected by public transport and some 20-30 minute walking distance from the nearby residential areas.
