About this Event
Join an immersive 45 minutes multi-sensory audio walk brought to you by Papaya Stories and Auckland Council Parks Department. In a lighthearted playful and mindful way we will approach the sense of oneness with nature, green spaces that are waiting to be rediscovered.
Through a lens of interactive audio narrative, in a small group of 25 people, we’ll explore various ways to connect to the natural environment. Firstly, we explore how hormones affect our well-being and how nature can help to make us feel good, calm, and balanced. Secondly, we will explore the nature of our senses and how we can make the most of them. Lastly, we explore the sense of interconnectedness between all living things that are available in any green space or park around Tamaki Makaurau.
This hikoi serves as inspiration and provides a hands-on toolkit that every participant can take with them as they seek new ways of connecting with Mother Nature.
There are two walking sessions available as per times below
Bookings are required as spaces are limited
This hikoi is a family-friendly experience. Kids 7+ are welcome.
The event fee is $2 and will be gifted to a community restoration group in Auckland to plant native trees in our parks.
