About this Event
Join us for a private listening session of the audio drama Letters from Sadec — a vivid, sound-only experience that transports listeners through Vietnam.
Letters from Sadec is a story about migration, silence, and inheritance. After touring North America with her award-winning solo show, Flora Le adapted the work into her first audio drama.
The project began in 2013, when Flora rode a motorcycle across Vietnam for six weeks, alone, tracing the life of her estranged father — a man who fled the Vietnam war in the 1960s and never spoke of his past. What Flora uncovered was a fractured archive of family secrets, diaspora memory, and Hien — the woman her father left behind during the war.
The audio drama runs 70 minutes. The listening will be followed by a Q&A with the creative team:
- Flora Le, writer
- Guy Kelly, sound engineer
- Candice Bloch, producer
