About this Event
Experiencing Marine Reserves will be running a volunteer marine monitoring workshop to help train volunteers to monitor the rocky reef fish populations around the Inner Hauraki Gulf.
The workshop will include an online theory session (~1hr) prior to the event covering survey methodology and fish ID, as well as a practical snorkel component at Goat Island and Mathesons Bay (conditions dependant). You must be able to commit to the online theory session and full practical day in order to register.
Minimum age for the activity is 12 years old, children 14 years and below need to have an adult supervisor present. Prior snorkelling experience and strong swimming ability is required.
