Judge Victoria Chang joins the 2024 winner Erika Jing for a reading at The Jule.
Erika Jing is the 2024 Auburn Witness Poetry Prize recipient. The annual competition honors Jake Adam York, a poet who dedicated his career to writing about social justice. The prize includes a $1,000 award and publication in the Southern Humanities Review .
Jing's poem, "Follow", will be read at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art at Auburn University, along with contest judge Victoria Chang. Jing's submission, along with the runners-up and honorable mentions, will be published in Volume 57.3 of Southern Humanities Review in Fall 2024.
