Auburn Witness Poetry Prize Event

Erika Jing is the 2024 Auburn Witness Poetry Prize recipient. The annual competition honors Jake Adam York, a poet who dedicated his career to writing about social justice. The prize includes a $1,000 award and publication in the Southern Humanities Review.

Jing's poem, "Follow", will be read at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art at Auburn University, along with contest judge Victoria Chang. Jing's submission, along with the runners-up and honorable mentions, will be published in Volume 57.3 of Southern Humanities Review in Fall 2024.
