About this Event
DARE Camp is an Auburn Police Department event held each summer. Auburn City Schools or Lee-Scott Academy students who just completed 5th grade (rising 6th graders) are eligible to attend our camp.
DARE Camp is an opportunity for students to work and play in a team setting, with each Team Leader being one of our Auburn Police officers.
Students create team chants, design team flags, and play various games at DARE Camp, such as kickball, soccer, potato sack relay, water slides, and more. Teams are awarded points for these activities, and the team that earns the most points by Friday is our Grand Champion!
Your student will be given a team shirt upon arrival at camp on Day 1. Each team shirt has a separate color, which allows team leaders to easily identify their team members. While this is a team-building aspect of camp, it's actually a safety measure. As such, your child will be required to wear their team shirt each day.
Drop off is from 7:30 - 8:00am each morning and pick up is from 4:45-5:00pm each afternoon.
There is limited availability for students at DARE Camp due to space constraints. Please sign up early if your child is interested in attending, as its first-come first-serve.
