Join our next Arif Urban Agrarian Collective (AUAC) Workday at the Peace Garden!
This month, we are partnering with Enero Zapatista to further discuss the ongoing struggles of communities that comprise the diverse tapestry of our region. As part of Enero Zapatista 2026, come join the Arif Collective community in working the land at the Peace Garden and learn about the Sudanese struggle for life and land as well as their culture, fashion, and food.
We will start the morning by connecting to the land, building beds, preparing the soil, and transplanting veggies. This will be followed by a presentation on Sudan’s history and current genocidal war, as well as an exhibit of Sudanese art, clothing, and other heritage items. Sudanese food will be provided.
We encourage everyone to dress in their own cultural attire to honor the universal right to migrate.
We will have more water and restrooms on site.
