??????? // Cet atelier veut faciliter une recherche autour de la bioluminescence et du spectre des possibles pour générer sa propre lumière. Certains organismes vivants produisent cette lumière pour communiquer, séduire, se protéger ou encore leurrer leurs proies. Il s’agira de tenter de matérialiser ce phénomène biologique corporellement et à travers de petites installations scénographiques lumineuses pour honorer individuellement et collectivement ce rayonnement intime. L’intention est simple; s’éclairer de l’intérieur afin de mieux vibrer.
Comment la lumière produite par d’autres objets – dispositifs lumineux portatifs – peut influencer un état de présence par sa couleur, chaleur, texture et même rythme ? Devenir une prolongation des gestes et produire une sensorialité dans l’espace ? À nu ou habillé de matières lumineuses et réfléchissantes manipulables, nous explorerons le corps « bioluminescent » ; ses surfaces iridescentes, les tissus cellulaires, la corporeité vibratoire, sensuelle et habitée du système nerveux des polypes qui constituent méduses et coraux. ??? // Louise Michel Jackson est interprète depuis qu’elle a 19 ans. Elle a collaboré avec Hanako Hoshimi-Caines, Frédérick Gravel, Dana Gingras, Rubberbandance, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (Belgique) Adam Kinner et Lara Oundjian, entre autres. Après avoir vécu 5 ans en Belgique, elle a navigué entre Bruxelles et Montréal, créant son premier projet « STROKE » aka SHUDDER en collaboration avec Ben Fury (Belgique), présenté en première à Charleroi-danses (Bruxelles 2016) et dans plusieurs salles dont O.f.f.t.a (2015) Tangente (Montréal 2016), Palais de Tokyo (Paris 2016) et le Festival de Lausanne 2017. Elle explore et questionne la cohabitation et la résonance entre «corps athlétique et somatique». Depuis 2018, elle travaille sur son projet Bright Worms (Théâtre Lachapelle Avril 2021) une recherche sur la bioluminescence avec intégration de projection vidéo et dispositifs lumineux en collaboration avec l’artiste sonore Magali Babin.

??????? // This workshop aims to facilitate research into bioluminescence and the spectrum of possibilities to generate your own light. Some living organisms produce light to communicate, seduce, protect themselves or lure their prey. We will try to materialize this biological phenomenon in the body and through small luminous scenographic installations in order to honour this intimate radiation individually and collectively. The intention is simple: to light ourselves from within in order to better vibrate.
How can the light produced by other objects – portable lighting devices – influence a state of presence through its colour, warmth, texture and even rhythm? To become an extension of gestures and produce a sensoriality in space? Whether naked or dressed in manipulable luminous and reflective materials, we will explore the ‘bioluminescent’ body; its iridescent surfaces, cellular tissues, the vibratory, sensual and inhabited corporeality of the nervous system of the polyps that make up jellyfish and coral. Cocoons, incandescence and glitters to be expected.
