This Boot Stompin Facebook event is NOT created for registration for the actual HOT event, it’s just created here in Boot Stompin as more or less a placeholder for Austin area line dancers! And just to say:
**YES, this is an event FOR YOU, no matter your level!!!
**Yes, there will be friendly Austin faces there!
**Yes, there are workshops & open dance floors for ALL levels!

THEME:
Haunted HOT! (dress up!)
DESCRIPTION:
The daytimes are full of workshops by WORLD FAMOUS choreographers who have travelled in to share their line dances & other awesome dances of their choice. The evenings are full of open line dancing, where we all just put in requests, and including a Beginner Ballroom!
So for instance, what I do is – Request some of my favorite improver/advanced level dances in the main ballroom. These will be recent ones from class & Maverick’s, or maybe Classics from years ago. Then watch the big screen for when they are coming up. (So helpful!!) During the ones I DON’T know (which is actually most of them), I (literally) run over to the Beginner Ballroom and jump in & request & help call steps if I can.

CAVIATS:
Texas Line Dancing has changed SO MUCH (like a lot of things) in the last few years & will surely have SO many more Austin area dancers there!
The demographics will probably be skewed, as we’ve seen on the dance floors all over even in the last months. As more and more folks have moved to the area & begun to find line dancing!
More versions of popular dances will likely be represented…& by YOU! During some of the dances, you see 2 versions – hard & easy on the split floors. But sometimes, you’ll see more than just 2 (Texas Time at 25:00 in the above video). Be encouraged to start the version you know & see who joins in with you!
