About this Event
Running an independent business on the high street isn’t easy – footfall has changed, costs are rising, and customers have more choice than ever.
This free, in-person workshop in Bexhill-on-Sea is designed to help independent high-street businesses attract more customers, improve their visibility, and trade more confidently.
Led by high-street and retail specialist Graham Soult as part of the project, the session is practical, jargon-free and packed with real examples from Graham's visits to towns and high streets across the UK.
You’ll come away with clear, realistic ideas you can apply straight away – from how your business looks from the street, to how you show up online and turn passing interest into footfall.
What you’ll cover
- How customers decide where to shop, eat and spend time on today’s high streets
- Simple ways to improve first impressions and stand out locally
- Practical ideas to attract more customers, both on the street and online
- Small changes that can make a big difference to confidence and trading.
What happens next
To follow up the workshop, you’ll also have the option to book a free one-to-one visit in your own business premises, with tailored advice from Graham and a short written action plan.
These will last an hour, take place in Bexhill on 11 and 12 March, and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. You can request a slot when you book the workshop, or, subject to availability, do so at the event.
If you are unable to attend the workshop but would still like Graham to visit your business for a one-to-one, please contact Graham directly to request an appointment.
During the visit, if you wish, Graham can capture some photos of your business – giving you a positive shout-out via his own social channels.
