Attilio Sepe is regarded internationally as an emerging
talent on the alto saxophone for his unique sound and his
personal approach to composition.
Attilio started his studies with Raffaele Minale and Giulio
Martino at the age of seven. Later he continued his studies
in classical music at the “Conservatorio Statale di Musica
D. Cimarosa” and his studies in jazz music with Antonio
Solimene and Maurizio Giammarco. Then he moved to
Siena, where he studied for five years, graduating two times
in Jazz Saxophone at Siena Jazz University. He studied
with great musicians like Giovanni Falzone, Alfonso
Santimone, Ettore Fioravanti, Roberto Spadoni, Ralph
Alessi, Dan Kinzelman, Ziv Ravirz, Jim Black and Ben Van
Gelder.
During his studies at Siena Jazz he worked with Silvia
Bolognesi, playing in her quartet, “Silvia Bolognesi Young
Shouts” and formed the “Parking Attendants”, a collective
of Italian musicians based in Tuscany.
In 2021 Attilio won the award “Premio Giovani Visionari
2021” granted by the “Federazione Nazionale Jazz
Italiano”.
“Héritage Normand” is his last release, recorded with the
great Italian saxophonist Maurizio Giammarco, that is
