About this Event

Event Overview:

Join us at the 15th Annual Parkside Health, Safety, & Job Fair on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Villages at Parkside II Community Center, 5000 Conner, Detroit, Michigan 48213. Hosted by Friends Of Parkside (FOP), this year’s theme is “Health is Still Wealth!” This event is a vibrant gathering aimed at enhancing the health, safety, and employment opportunities for our community members.



Objectives:
  • Health Education and Screenings: We are providing free health screenings, consultations, and educational workshops to address prevalent health issues such as diabetes, heart disease, and arthritis. Last year, 92.5% of attendees rated the fair as good to excellent, with many seeking health education and screenings.
  • Safety Awareness: Improve your knowledge and resources for community safety with support from local health departments and safety organizations. Learn how to create a safer environment for yourself and your loved ones.
  • Job Opportunities: Connect with potential employers and enhance your job readiness through workshops on resume building, interview preparation, and more. Take this opportunity to explore new career paths and find job leads.
