You don't have to have a pro-contract to win this event....but.....
In 2016, Michael Storer took the win, just one second ahead of Ben O'Connor. The mens record was set in January 2014, when Robert Power (the historic poster boy pic for this event!) motored up the climb in 0:07:45, a speed of 22.4km/hr. In 2020, Old Stenning took line honours.
In 2016, Emma Pooley took out the women's honours ahead of Erin Kinnealy. Emma holds the women's record, set in 2008 with a time of 09:16 and a speed of 18.75km/hr. The only other girl to have gone under 10 minutes is Sarah McLachlan. In 2020, Rachael Wales was the fastest female up the hill.
We meet in Rushton Park where registrations and presentations will take place for the event. The start is just over the bridge in Clifton Street 50m from the junction with Orlando Street (it becomes Canning Mills Rd about there). Pedal up the hill to finish 20m past Kylie Rd. It's an average gradient of 7.5%.

As per all open road ATTA events, you will need a rear flashing light to participate.
The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. If you don't have your own My Laps transponder, you will need to pay $5 to loan one.
