Atomic was one of San Jose’s longest running dance party weeklies that ran from 2005-2015 at the legendary Blank Club with DJ Basura. Taking classic new wave, synthpop and post punk hits of the past (from acts like New Order, Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Smiths, Siouxsie & The Banshees etc.) and mixing in more modern indie of the time (from the likes of Interpol, The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Crystal Castles, LCD Soundsystem etc.), Atomic was THE alternative for club goers craving something a little different in San Jose during its heyday in the early 2000s. Combine that with current bands like Boy Harsher, Molchat Doma, Lebanon Hanover, She Past Away etc. and you have what is now Atomic!
