About this Event

ATLS:

This program was developed by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma and designed to assist physicians in providing the first hour of emergency care to trauma patients. The Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) teaches a systematic, concise approach to the early care of the trauma patient. This course is vital to guiding care for the injured patient in emergency department trauma rooms. The course training provides a common language that can save lives in critical situations. Training combines didactic lectures and practical skills stations, allowing time to perfect skills in the initial assessment, management and stabilization of trauma patients.

Accreditation:

The American College of Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American College of Surgeons designates this educational activity for a maximum of 17 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation to the activity.

Meals:

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.  We will have vegetarian options available. You are welcome to bring your own meals if you have other dietary preferances or restrictions.
