ATLRPG GM\/DM Workshops!

Hail and well met, storytellers! The call has gone out, and GM Workshops will commence once more, now at Manuel's Tavern!
This event is open to the public; however, you must be vaccinated (or have recovered from COVID-19 recently enough to have antibodies) in order to attend.
ATLRPG does not charge anything for attending, but we are expected to eat and/or drink by the fine establishment that is kind enough to host us for free!
Dungeon Masters (DMs), Game Masters (GMs), etc. of all experience levels are welcome!
How Does It Work?
Mosey on in at 10:30am. We meet in the Eagle's Nest, the curtained backroom of Manuel's Tavern. Check in with our organizer about your background and interests, grab a coffee, order some brunch, and chit-chat.
By 11:00am, we will do introductions and set a workshop agenda. We will plan for approximately at least three 1-hr sessions. Like ATLRPG MeetUps on weeknights, attendees will pitch topics (e.g., DMing 101, veteran panel for newbies, veteran topical discussions, skill building workshops like NPC RP, 'failing forward,' combat pacing, etc.). Attendees will vote, and then we will sort out the order of events, whether to run any workshops in parallel, etc. You can pitch potential workshops ahead of time in the Discussion section for potential attendees to comment on and voice their interest in. The baseline structure is: 1) DMing 101 or veteran panel for newbies (likely over brunch); 2) advanced or veteran discussions (likely over lunch if folks haven't ordered yet); 3) RPG module and skills workshopping (food's cleared, let's play!).
What Should I Bring?
Bring ideas, questions, and an open mind! Please pitch potential workshops in the Discussion section ahead of time, and voice your interest in potential workshops there.
If you are pitching a workshop, then please bring everything you might need (e.g., dice, character sheets, books, maps, minis, paper, pencils, handheld whiteboards and dry erase, etc. for practicing full-game RP, combat, or a module, teaching a new system, discussing a game design element, etc.). You are of course also welcome to pitch discussions, panels, exercises, workshops, and bootcamps that do not require any materials!
See you soon, storytellers!
