About this Event
Gaming came to Atlantic City almost 50 years ago. There have been many ups and downs during turbulent times--Casino openings and closings, City Administrations coming and going and vast regional development.
Join the PR Council of Greater Atlantic City on Wednesday, November 20, at the historic Linwood Country Club, when well-known author and lawyer, the Honorable Nelson C. Johnson, J.S.C. (Ret.), best known as the author of Boardwalk Empire and the sequel, The Northside: African Americans and the Creation of Atlantic City will discuss what he describes as “missed opportunities” for Atlantic City dating back to the 70s to the present.
He will also talk about what he needed to do to pitch HBO on developing the book Boardwalk Empire into a popular television series. For you dreamers, this will be an excellent tutorial.
About Our Speaker: During the past 15 years, Judge Nelson C. Johnson has made more than 200 presentations on his books. His writings are products of his insatiable curiosity and passion for the written word. He has completed a fourth book which recounts the two worst years in the life of the legendary lawyer, Clarence Darrow.
