ATL Living Lab: Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway
Get ready for innovation, collaboration, and inspiration at the ATL Living Lab: Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, a celebration and collaborative design session for the Bankhead and Grove Park communities that will tackle the cost of living crisis through storytelling and connection.
At 2 p.m. Sunday, April 21, join us in the historic Grove Park neighborhood at the 1566 building for an afternoon that will feature interactive exhibits, expert panels, community building activities, food and fellowship made possible by Canopy Atlanta and the Atlanta Civic Circle.
The ATL Living Labs event series is an extension of Cost of Living, a reporting project launched in 2023 that trains community journalists and produces in-depth enterprise reporting on the cost of living. This investigative reporting and community storytelling project sheds light on a number of challenges facing metro Atlantans. Inspired by the reporting and community listening of hundreds of residents living along major Atlanta corridors--Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, Buford Highway, Memorial Drive and Campbellton Road-- the ATL Living Labs will explore the Cost of Living stories from each area and delve into exclusive insights from writers and subject matter experts.
Over the course of the spring and summer, we will host an ATL Living Lab in each of those corridors addressong the affordability challenges that are specific to each community.
