On Sunday, November 16th - 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm - there will be a protest at Gyorr Road and Randall Road in South Elgin. This protest is focused on the damaging relationship between AT&T and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). We want AT&T to stop its work with ICE. AT&T has a multi-year, multi-million-dollar contract with the Dept of Homeland Security to provide communications systems and equipment to ICE. ICE is using that equipment to hunt down people, take them off the streets, and disappear them. ICE is profiting off our neighbor's pain.
The Unitarian Universalist Society of Geneva (UUSG) is partnering with We Can Lead Change, Fox Valley Rising, Batavia Democrats and the UU Advocacy Network of Illinois. This will be a part of a larger national coalition including People's Action, to organize public actions in front of every AT&T store in Illinois on Sunday afternoon, November 16.
BRING SIGNS AND AMERICAN FLAGS.
