About this Event
Join us for the opening of At The Margins — an exhibition exploring visibility, presence, and belonging through the work of three artists connected through the Icon Painting Studio at St Margaret’s House: tutor Basia Mindewicz and students Judith Allan and Ella Edge.
This exhibition gives space to those who are often unseen — women and animals who are not the subjects but the objects of conversations and decisions. Through painting, mixed media, and personal reflection, the artists invite us to look closer, listen deeply, and experience empathy at the edges where beauty and understanding begin.
The works range from traditional iconography to contemporary reflections on nature and memory, celebrating reverence, fragility, and the quiet holiness of all living beings.
