This Friday (16), the 2024 Euro Cup begins. After three years, the tournament that brings together the 24 best teams in Europe takes place again, this time on fixed soil: Germany will host the competition in its domains after almost four decades without being chosen as host country.
After being played in 11 cities in different countries in 2021, as a kind of celebration of 60 years, the European Championship once again has its home in one place. Germany, which had already hosted the event in 1988 (in its western part, as there was still division), will host the competition in ten different cities. See below the stadiums selected by UEFA and their capacities:
?️ Olympic Stadium - Berlin (74,461)
?️ Allianz Arena - Munich - (70,076)

To keep you up to date:
The German team is led by coach Julian Nagelsmann and played four friendlies in 2024, three wins against France, the Netherlands and Greece and a draw against Ukraine. Despite the recent good results, the week was not so smooth. Last Monday (10) during training, defender Rüdiger and striker Füllkrug almost came to blows, but were restrained. Another fact that worried Nagelsmann was the health problem of midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović and he had to be cut, Enre Can from Borussia Dortmund was called in his place.
On the Scottish side, coach Steve Clark has several problems choosing the team. Lyndon Dykes, Nathan Patterson, Lewis Ferguson and Aaron Hickey were not called up due to injuries. Scott McTominay is not 100% physically, but should be selected anyway. Another important name in the Scottish team is Liverpool defender Robertson. Even with several problems, the Scots dream of a place in the round of 16.
RETROSPECT
Germany and Scotland have already faced each other 17 times in official matches, with eight German victories, five draws and four Scottish victories. The last meeting between the teams was on September 7, 2015 and ended in a 3-2 German victory. Thomas Müller twice and Gündogan scored Germany's goals, while Hummels scored twice and James McArthur scored for Scotland. The last Scottish victory was 25 years ago in a friendly in Germany, 1-0 was the score.

HECK
The German team has very strong players technically and presents a good team with coach Nagelsmann. The friendlies against France and the Netherlands showed the strength that the squad has and in front of its fans it will have an additional factor in its favoritism, not only in the match against Scotland, but also to win the fourth European Cup title.
Prediction: Germany 4×0 Scotland.
