Program Design :
Module 1. Astronomy Summer Camp-2days. Primarily Focus on beginners in Astronomy and engage them to Sky Gazing experience & Astronomy Hands on activity.
Module 2. Basic Astronomy Course - Its a 3 Months online Program which will be taught via online mode designed with curriculum topics guided by International Astronomical Union(IAU).
Note : Students whoever enrolled for astronomy summer camp will be allowed to participate in basic astronomy course which will be conducted via online without any extra cost. (Course Curriculum and Schedules will be shared to registered participants separately by HAC)
Astronomy Summer Camp activity details:(Primary)
* Daytime astronomy - SUN Observation, Zero Shadow, Distance Measuring & Calculations
* Astronomy hands on activity - Various Scopes & Models in Astronomy will be tested practically
* Telescope Handling & Assembly - Basics of optics & Lenses
* Basics of Astro Photography and 3D Models
* Astro Quiz, & Movies
* Night Sky watch - Identifying Planets, Stars & Constellations in the night sky
* Experiencing DEEP SKY & MESSIER OBJECTS (Nebula & Galaxies) thru SMART TELESCOPE
Non Curricular Activities in the Astronomy summer Camp : (Secondary)
(Subject to Availability of time & Interest from students)
* Basic Self defensive Techniques in Martial Art will be taught by Experienced Martial Art Master
* Basics of Bird Watching and data collection
* Approach to Holistic wellness -connecting with Core functions of Food, Physical body and Mind
� How Does Astronomy Summer Camp (ASC) & Basic Astronomy Course (BAC) will help students in his academic career?
Outcome of the Astronomy summer camp. (2 days)
Participants will be directly experiences the Movements of Planets, stars, nebulas and its constellations, by observing thru telescopes. More over various astronomy related hands on activities and equipment will create scientific curiosity in younger minds to understand more about Astronomy & Space.
Basic Astronomy Program(3 months-online):
At the End of the Basic Astronomy Program Participants will be able to understand about the evolution of Universe, Planetary Movements, Life Cycle of Stars, and evolution of Life in Space.
Understand the multi dimensions of astronomy and its amalgamations with Basic Sciences.
Principles of Basic Astronomy, Space Missions and Its Technologies.
Preferred Age Group : 10+years
Mode of Communication : English & Tamil
Cost Per Participant : Rs 2500-/
Cost is Inclusive of Lunch & Evening Snacks in the event days of summer camp.

* Participants with siblings (10+Years) will be consider for the special concession Cost.
* Accommodation for outstation Participants will be provided based on availability at extra cost.
Last Date for registration : 30th March 2025.
* Participants entry is limited to 25nos on first come first serve basis.
* Registrations without the Payment remittance will not be considered for the count.
* Please think twice before remitting the payment & ensure yourself about your interest in attending the camp.
* Please note that Payment once remitted will not be refunded or adjusted at any cost, however you can depute alternate participant to attend the camp by providing the Participant details to the event organizers.
