Meet at: Field behind Nature CenterCedars of Lebanon State Park
will be hosting Astronomy nights on
There will be a presentation at 5 pm about the constellations, planets, galaxies, star clusters, and other objects visible that night. Viewing will begin afterwards at 5:30 pm and continue until at least 10:00pm but will stay till midnight if the sky is good. This is a special time of year when the winter constellations are visible. If the night sky is not clear but the weather is nice, we will convert the program to a night hike and do astronomy if skies break.
Attendees should plan on bringing chairs or blankets if desired. White light interferes with night vision, please bring a red flashlight or put red cellophane (park has limited supply) over your regular flashlight. Feel free to bring your binoculars or telescope if you have them. Temperatures are getting cold, so dress for temperatures to drop.

We will begin at the Nature Center and hike a short ways to an open field located behind the Nature Center over a bridge. Accessible Restrooms are located at the Nature Center on the back deck. Handicap parking is available at the location but visitors will be directed to parking by Park Ranger upon arrival. Please inform Park Ranger if this is needed when you arrive.
Our all terrain wheelchair(single) is also available upon request.
