About this Event

Experience History and Astronomy at the Judy & Stanley Frankel Detroit Observatory!

Join us for an evening of telescope observing with our 167-year-old telescope, guided tours of the 1854 Detroit Observatory, hands-on experiences, one-of-a-kind exhibits, and more!

Visitors can register for:

  • Observatory tours that begin at 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, or 9:30pm. A 1 hour walk-through tour of the Detroit Observatory.
  • Telescope observing that begins at 9:30pm. Includes telescope observing with the historic Fitz refractor and the patio telescopes.

All registrants, including walk-ins, are welcome to patio telescope observing and all hands-on activities at the observatory!
