Marcel Gidote's Holy Crab
Czech psychedelic band established in 2019 mixing influences of rock, kraut, and jazz with modern sound. The current five members are Jan Bukovjan on vocals, tenor sax., flute, clarinet, and acoustic guitar, Ondřej Vávra on vocals and guitar, Viktor Eberle on vocals, keyboard, and synths, Marek Sobota on bass and Matěj Šolc on drums.
MGHC released their debut EP Bay Of Roots under the independent Czech label Polí5 in 2020 and in 2021 they self-produced their first full-length album Humidity Breaking Limits where they moved forward to a more complex but heavier musical expression. A new album called Farm Alarm that came up last year is based on more vocal parts, acoustic guitar, and synths and it works as a striking reminder of the climatic crisis of our planet. After that two more singles came (Felina, Giant Stabs) and in October the band experienced their first European tour.
