Whether you're a college student, a long-time local, or just passing through, Hays has so much more to discover than first meets the eye. With cobbled streets and friendly southern hospitality combined with Fort Hays University and Wild West tales, it takes a keen eye to distinguish fact from fiction and tales from truths. But if you're ready to uncover the town's secrets and mysteries, this scavenger hunt in Hays is for you. Starting near a historic train depot that's now home to a beautiful outdoor pavilion, you'll get your first taste of the friendly culture and unique history Hays is known for. Keep your eye out for tales of murderers frozen in time, then take a walk up Main Street in search of a theatre-turned-event venue. Transport back to the 1950s and seek clues about the town's original name, and you'll be well on your way to earning top points. That's not all, though. Keep roaming to find a beautiful memorial dedicated to veterans and churches dating back to the early 1900s. Time will no doubt fly as you get lost in the early days of Kansas. So, put on your thinking cap and get ready to dig beneath the surface on this fun-filled historical Hays scavenger hunt!

How it works:
1. You can start at any time you wish – this is a self-guided scavenger hunt.
2. The duration of each hunt is 1.5 to 2 hours.
3. Visit our website to purchase tickets.
4. Download our Let's Roam app from the Play Store or App Store. Register and redeem the tickets there to get started.
5. The app will guide you throughout the tour and the challenges you need to accomplish!
