ASTON HOLIDAY TRAIN DISPLAY 2024Updates top this schedule, including addiotnal dates, will be broadcast on the Aston History Talk Only page.
This is brought to you by the Aston Model Railroad Club and the Aston Historical Society.
There are multiple dates. times are 5-8 except for opening night which is 7-8:30
Financial donations and equiptment donations are both accepted by the Aston Historical Society.
This display was made possible by the hard work of Aston residents Ron Vance, Laura Schmitt, Rebecca Dryden, Mark Dougherty, Lori Kelso, Mac MacFarland, Dathan Poole and Chris Pry.
This was designed and built from scratch.
There is even a section representing Astons’ 5 Points area with some local businesses recognized, as well as some local Aston landmarks.
The trains you see are from the 1940’s to the 1990’s.
We’re running Lionel in O gauge, Bachmann, Fleischmann, Marklin and RoCo locomotives and rolling stock in HO & N gauge.
This layout would not have been possible without the generous model railroad related donations from the Cy Vitello family of Aston, Snyders Ace Hardware Store and resident donations.
Thank you to Aston Historical for accepting this donation and maintaining it for the residents.
Business sponsorships are almost sold out. $25 for your business, past or present, to be displayed.
Thank you to Aston Township Mgr Bill DeFeo, Brian Palmore and the Aston BOC for supporting this effort.
