Join us for the Association for Washington Archaeology 2025 NWAC Pub Crawl happening at the Hilton Portland Downtown! Get ready to explore the local pub scene with fellow archaeology enthusiasts. This in-person event promises a night of fun, networking, and perhaps a bit of archaeology-themed banter. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals in a casual setting. Mark your calendars and get ready to raise a glass to archaeology!
This year we’re back. The pub crawl has been a nearly annual tradition for the AWA at NWAC for the last 10 years. This year may be one of the most fun events to date. Here are the details.
We will have a bus, the Solid Gold bus that will take us from the Downtown Hilton to each of our stops. The Solid Gold bus has on board Karaoke and so we’ll be having a Karaoke competition with a prize or two as we proceed with the night.
Our first stop just celebrated its first anniversary and brews some of the most sought-after beer in the country. We’ll have a pint and dinner at this location, a stop that we are quite sure will stick in your memory.
From our first stop, we’ll go to two more locations which will offer beer but also non-beer options. Along the way we will have the chance to see the beautiful city of Portland including some unique locations that are quintessentially Portland.

We’ll have some swag from Pub Crawls past and we are able to bring our own libations on board the bus.
Price
This year the AWA Pub Crawl is not a cheap date. We are keeping the price at a point where we are basically breaking even but we wanted to put on a good show for everyone and make some memories.
