What: Assistive Technology & Employment Full Day Training
When: October 3, 2024 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Eastern
Where: Easterseals Crossroads at 4740 Kingsway Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46205. This event will also be streamed live via Zoom and can be joined at www.eastersealstech.com/live (registration is required to attend in-person or online webinar)
Who should attend: Anyone interested in learning tools and resources for job seeking individuals with disabilities. This training is ideal for individuals with disabilities, employment services providers and employers.
Why: This FREE assistive technology training will provide valuable and practical strategies for job seekers with disabilities such as navigating online job applications, networking, interviewing skills, and assistive technology that can be used to increase or maintain one's ability to do a job function.

Inclusive Strategies for Welcoming Applicants and Including Employees with Disabilities presented by Teressa Goddard, Lead Consultant, at Job Accommodation Network (JAN)
10:30 am – 11:45 am
Introduction to Assistive Technology presented by Josh Anderson, Director of AT, at Easterseals Crossroads
11:45 am – 12:30 pm
Lunch (catered by ESC for in-person attendees)
12:30 pm – 2:00 pm
Job Search Seminar presented by Maeleen Hurley, Chelsea Jones, Scott Bosare, and Sherri Negri from Employment Services at Easterseals Crossroads
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Employer Panel presented by representatives from IndyGo, OneAmerica, Eskenazi Health, Fastenal, and Cintas
1. CEU's will be offered for this training if you attend in person or the live webinar through (**please note that you must apply for CEU's within 60 days or there will be a $10 charge). We will periodically check attendance throughout the event and provide a certificate of completion when the training is completed. CEU's are not available for anyone who watches the archived video of this event.
2. If you require any accommodations to participate in this event, please make sure you request them 48 hours in advance. Accommodation requests must be received by 9am Tuesday prior to the event. If you need a tactile interpreter, we will need your request at least 1 1/2 weeks in advance.
3. Please be advised that photos may be taken at the full day training event.
