In the lead-up to The West Macs Monster, we are putting on a training on trails social series to help people in their training for the 25k. Please join as well if you're wanting to up your trail ante or want to get out and be social. Please keep in mind that a good level of fitness is required. This is open to ASRWC members and Non-members. For any attendees under 16, please reach beforehand so we can ensure your safety and wellbeing. We’re starting where it all begins, (well for the 25k :) ) Simpsons Gap!! We’ll meet at 5:20am for a 5:30am start and we’re taking on Hat Hill again, starting in the sand for an out and back effort. This time the aim is to run out 5k, and come back. You’ll have a challenging effort, with some different terrain, a few more hills... but well worth it for those spectacular views.. you’ll hear this often 😝
If you wanted to go on your own adventure but start it in good company’s that’s fine too :)
What do I bring? To start with, 500-1ltr of water, a snake bite bandage. This list will get larger as we progress and will reflect the WMM mandatory equipment.
