Get an inside look at the Altamonte Springs Police Department with the Citizen Public Safety Academy.The program runs for 10 weeks. Classes meet once a week for three hours. No experience is necessary, but you must be 18 years or older. Each participant will receive an academy shirt and applicable supplies and upon completion, a certificate and class photo. Applicants are required to undergo a background check prior to acceptance into the program.
Activities include:
-Introduction to Basic Police Functions Including Patrol, Traffic and Investigations
-K-9 Demonstration
-CPR Training and Certification
-Defensive Tactics Training
-Shooting Range Field Trip
-Seminole County Jail Tour
Session Dates: February 6 - April 17
