Ever wanted to photograph a wedding without all the pressure? Like a “fake wedding” where you could re-do shots until you got it right? With a knowledgeable instructor with years of experience right there to help you make every shot perfect!?
Well, that’s exactly what we’ve done!
Join us for an incredible opportunity to walk through a wedding from beginning to end, but without the distractions and and moving pieces that come with a real wedding.
In this wedding intensive Amanda of the COL Collection will cover:
Real wedding scenarios and work through the shooting environments from a full wedding day
What equipment is needed on wedding day?
Available light tips and tricks as well as artificial lighting that may be needed throughout a wedding
Flash for weddings
Posing for portraits
Shooting motion and movement at a wedding
How to prepare for any situation that could surface on wedding day
Group image review at the end of the day
We will have several staged areas to practice nailing those gorgeous detail shots, from the dress to the centerpieces, rings, cake and more!
There will be an opportunities to work through the getting ready shots with a bride and groom, the ceremony, portraits, reception events all the way down to the exit. And with the bonus ability to redo and work through tough shooting and lighting situations!
Both Amanda (ASoP) And Damian (Laundry Events) have been in the wedding industry for 15 years and will share a collective wealth of knowledge that will be invaluable for growing your business.
This event is for wedding photographers that may be new to the industry, photographers looking to get started with weddings or even a more seasoned wedding photographer that needs a space to work through technical issues they may struggle with in real wedding situations.
This is a fun and interactive opportunity you will not want to miss! This goes behind just a styled wedding shoot, with an opportunity to learn new technical skills and have professionals on site to help you achieve the best work possible!
Equipment needed for this workshop:
Dslr with at least 2 lenses
It is strongly suggested that you have at least one prime or zoom lens for low light (ie Apertures 2.8 wider) Renting for the weekend is a fabulous option to try new equipment or have what's needed for the day
One external flash (this is also strongly suggested!)
Any artificial lighting you may use on location (modifiers, light stands, led, strobe etc) are not required
