ASONE Hub Autumn Conference 2025 | Bridging The Gap: Practical Tools for Inclusive Music Making

Join educators from across all phases this autumn for an inspiring day of collaboration, creativity, and professional growth. The ASONE Hub Autumn Conference is your opportunity to connect with colleagues, refresh your practice, and walk away with immediately usable tools and ideas to bring back to your classroom - regardless of your musical background.

This year we're looking through the lens of Diversity, the second pillar of our Bridging The Gap manifesto.

By focusing on bridging gaps across

SKILLS | DIVERSITY | EQUITY | PROGRESSION

The conference aims to celebrate and showcase educators’ successes in these areas and offer best practice that will help address some of the key challenges facing music education today.

At the heart of this years' event will be Practical Tools for Inclusive Music Making; inspiring and thought-provoking sessions that will equip delegates with strategies and resources that can be applied directly in the classroom.

What’s on offer:

Inspirational Keynote Address
We are delighted that Samantha Stimpson will be joining us for the day as a speaker, mentor and friend.

Samantha Stimpson B.Ed MA, is a multi-award winning consultant and the founder and CEO of SLS 360, an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion consultancy firm who support, challenge and empower individuals and organisations to be bold and brave in their work to end injustice and discrimination and affect positive change.

A trustee for Sound Connections, Samantha is also a Violin & Viola player with a mission to ensure greater representation of musicians across all genres but especially classical music, so children and young people of colour don't experience being 'othered' as the only one or one of few.

Her research on the importance of representation, and her work with over 150 organisations in the UK and worldwide, has highlighted the importance of truly valuing diversity. A focus that has a foundation built on trust and respect within an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive.
