Sidney and Matilda Presents: Ask My Bull + Bovidae
The electrified wail of a raging saxophone! The distorted roar of a thundering bass! The visceral-yet-intricate driving grooves of the drums! Ask My Bull are a Manchester-based 3-piece playing their hearts out around the UK. Ask My Bull is delightfully hyperactive and cinematically epic. A musical chimera that combines the visceral energy of punk, the danceability of drum'n'bass and the intriguing nuance of jazz.
Our current female-led 3 piece lineup is pushing the boundaries with insane sonic textures and smooth and versatile genre fusion. Not not to mention we rock the fuck out and bring bubble guns.
Existing in various iterations over the past decade, the powerhouse that is Ask My Bull has paraded across stages across the UK, from Plymouth to Glasgow and thrived in the festival scene! Rocking many of the best including; Shambala, Boomtown, Beatherder, Bearded Theory, Kendal Calling, Solfest, Eden, Kelburn Garden Party, Green Gathering, Nozstock, One Tribe,Audio Farm and Many more.
2024 saw two releases: 'F-THEM' (featuring guitar from founding member Fritz Lindner and Tenor Sax from Elliot Slater) and 'QUALMS' - AMB's first release a 3-piece. Watch out for more of everything everywhere in 2025! You may know them from; The 2017 soundtrack for Vewn's viral video 'Cat City', which currently has over 8 million views on YouTube. The collaboration later aired on Adult Swim, with the band's track 'Army of Swans' providing the soundtrack to Vewn's short 'Mask Dog'.
