Once again the 3rd Tuesday of the month is upon us, which means it's time to learn something new and interact with both up-and-coming and established songwriters and artists alike at Canada's largest independent songwriter group: The Calgary Songsmiths! Topic (7 PM): Join us for a special Songwriters Learning Session with Calgary entertainment lawyer and musician Wayne Logan. With decades of experience in intellectual property and music law, Wayne has guided countless artists and organizations—including the Canadian Country Music Association—through the business side of songwriting. In this 30-minute Q&A, Wayne will share practical advice on protecting your songs, understanding royalties, spotting contract red flags, and navigating the new realities of streaming and digital music. Whether you’re just writing your first tune or preparing to release your debut single, this session will help you build the confidence to protect your creativity and grow your career.
