Smarter Systems, Fewer People, Better Training
As AI becomes more integrated into security through access control, monitoring, and automated decision systems, organizations are starting to reduce human staffing numbers. The common assumption is that this means less need for physical training. The reality is the opposite.
This talk explores how shrinking security teams and reduced backup make individual skill level more important than ever. When you no longer have extra bodies to rely on, outdated training models based on piling people onto a problem stop working. What replaces them is better decision-making, stronger individual capability, and training that reflects real-world constraints.
The session reframes AI not as a replacement for physical security skills, but as the reason those skills now need to be sharper, more intentional, and more realistic than ever.
