Come to practice Ashtanga Yoga with Bianca OliveiraWe invite you to immerse yourself in a week Ashtanga retreat with Bianca Oliveira, Authorised teacher level II, whilst you enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the French countryside, resting in a stunning and beautiful Chateau.
Our Accommodation:
At Ashtanga France we have two houses within the same grounds. You can either choose to stay at the Château or at the Cottage. Both have their own swimming pool, common areas to sit, relax and enjoy nature and both are available for everybody to use.
Location:
If you are looking to escape to tranquility and surround yourself in never ending vineyards and countryside then you have found the right place. Wake up birdsong and gaze at the stars at night, marvel at the Eagles and Buzzards soaring on the updrafts in the late afternoon heat and walk through our extensive grounds to watch the heron’s patrolling the lake.
If you want to venture further afield then we are surrounded by pretty villages, many dating back to medieval times. The impressive river Garonne is a few kilometers away as is the famous Canal du Midi here you can hire canoes or take a boat trip. Bicycle hire is available locally.
As you’d expect, there are numerous wine tasting Châteaux in the area and we are happy to organise visits. Bordeaux and Toulouse is worth a visit if your have time, it’s about 1.15 hour by train.
Our food
During Bianca’s retreat, we will follow the principle of wholesome, nourishing and freshly prepared vegetarian food. Our garden provides a selection of organic vegetables and herbs that are picked daily according to the season.
We also support our local farmers who grow organic vegetables and fruits. We believe the best meals are those prepared with the highest quality ingredients we can find.
About Bianca:
Bianca is an Authorized Level II teacher by the Paramaguru R. Sharath Jois. It's the traditional authorization to teach the full Primary and Intermediate sequences. Currently she is learning the Advanced A series in Mysore and has had the opportunity to assist her Guru twice. She took her first Yoga class at the age of 18 when she still lived in Brazil and felt a deep connection to the practice within body and soul. In 2009 she moved to USA to work as a performer for RBBB Circus and few years later the seed that was planted years ago sprouted and she sincerely felt the calling to dedicate herself to the practice of Yoga. She finished her first YTT in Boone,NC. Her first Ashtanga Class was with Guruji Sharath Jois during a USA tour in 2013. She started traveling to Mysore, India in 2015 and since then has been dedicating her life entirely to the practice and studies of Ashtanga Yoga. Over the years, Bianca has taught in many countries. She is also a mother and truly understand how family duties and practice affects one another. How discipline, commitment, devotion and dedication are the base of the practice and also the non attachments for results. Believing she is an eternal student of yoga, her joy is to share all the benefits this practice can bring to people's lives, both on and off the mat. Bianca is currently teaching an online Mysore program and also traveling the world for workshops and retreats.
