Ashley's Kloset invites you to our inaugural Boots & Bling Fundraiser! Join us for our April 25 mixer as we wear our favorite boots and our best bling and raise awareness of disability needs in Arkansas.
Our story: Kimberly Hayman launched Ashley’s Kloset in 2024 in memory of her daughter Ashley Kern, who had spastic cerebral palsy. Its mission: to help Arkansans caring for children with disabilities, or families impacted by disability, recover from financial hardship.
Ashley wasn’t able to walk, talk, feed herself or take care of her basic needs — she was dependent on her family for her care, which required equipment, therapies and lots of medical attention. Ashley’s middle-class family struggled to get help through various assistance programs — their income was either too much to get help or not enough to cover all of Ashley’s needs. Through it all, Ashley was a bright shining angel, always smiling and known for her contagious laugh.
Ashley’s closet at home stored her equipment and her fashions, like her camel hair cowboy boots gifted to her one Christmas. Her mom, Kimberly, held onto those boots, which bring memories of Ashley’s infectious laugh.
How you can make a difference: Put on your favorite boots and your best bling and join Ashley’s Kloset on April 25 as we raise funds to help disabled Arkansans and families caring for someone with a disability.
Our celebration will feature:
- Live jazz music from Pattern Blu
- A silent auction featuring local businesses
- Wine and heavy hors d’oeuvres
- Words from Ashley’s Kloset and disability advocates
