In a fiddling career that is approaching four decades, Ashley MacIsaac has enjoyed many glorious accomplishments with the instrument that has made him famous. He’s a JUNO award winning artist, and his playing has taken him all over the world, with highlights including the opening ceremonies for the Vancouver Olympics and touring North America with The Chieftains. His 1996 single with Mary Jane Lamond, Sleepy Maggie saw international chart success, and since then he has worked and recorded with many notable artists including Paul Simon and avant garde composer Phillip Glass.
Now, recently settled back home in his beloved Cape Breton, Ashley is out on the road again and celebrating the music that made him an icon. He’ll rosin up the bow and take to the Dolan’s Pub stage for an unforgettable night of east coast reels and jigs on February 20th, and we expect ticket sales will be brisk, so don’t be left out in the cold.
