This is a general support group meeting open to the public. Children are welcome. Light refreshments will be served. This month's speaker will be Esther Sachse, who has a wealth of experience supporting Autistic individuals through the grieving process.There are many experiences of grief and loss, not necessarily only about the death of a loved one. With over 25 years of experience in grief, loss, and trauma, Esther Sachse, LCSW-BACS, CT has worked with a diverse range of clients, including those in private practice, hospice patients and their families, and cancer survivors navigating survivorship challenges. In addition, Esther has a 32-year old son living with autism and has enjoyed working with clients who are on the autism spectrum and their family members, appreciating the diversity and unique qualities of all clients. Esther uses a trauma-informed approach to healing and support. She is a Certified Grief Educator, Certified Thanatologist through the Association of Death Education and Counseling, and EMDR-trained. Her therapeutic approach integrates somatic techniques, mindfulness, and the exploration of limiting beliefs, always with a focus on compassionate care.This is a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas, gather information and resources, network and socialize.
