ASBN 2022 is a convening that exists to inform, connect, and mobilize business leaders and investors to transform the public and private sectors toward a sustainable economy that is stakeholder-driven, regenerative, just, and prosperous. ASBN has the uniquely potent ability to build the large-scale movement of profound economic and public policy change the world so desperately needs.

The conference will offer a blend of engaging main stage sessions, action-oriented breakout workshops, one-on-one peer advising, a live pitch event, small peer groups, and lots of time to connect and build relationships with your fellow attendees. By popular demand, additional networking opportunities, entertainment, and more will be featured throughout the program.

ASBN believes that a deep institutional understanding of the need for and the use of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion must be at the foundation for how we conduct ourselves, our businesses, and our investments, as we cultivate and grow our community and programs. With clear intent and earnest effort, we will engage and grow our community, and seek leaders in the field to ensure that our impact matches our vision. General Notes

If you’re not yet a member, but would like to attend the conference at the member rate, prior to purchasing your ticket.

Note: The conference will begin Wednesday, November 30 and primarily run through Friday, December 2 with one main stage event and closing circle the morning of Saturday, December 3, and some pre-conference programming the afternoon/early evening of Tuesday, November 29. We recommend reserving a hotel room for at least three total nights, November 30 – December 2, departing on December 3. Our recommendation is that all attendees who are able, but especially for anyone further than a two hour flight away, to reserve a room for Tuesday night, November 29 through Friday night December 2, departing on 12/3.

Meals

Each ticket includes six meals, lunch on 11/30, 12/1, and 12/2 and dinner on 11/30, 12/1, and 12/2. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available. The meal plan offerings are subject to change.

Hotel Details

ASBN has arranged a discounted group rate of $209/night (+tax) at Paradise Point in San Diego, CA for single and two bed rooms. Limited rooms at this discounted rate are available. We strongly encourage all attendees to reserve their rooms ASAP.

Attendees can book their room at Paradise Point by either using this link or by calling their Reservations department at 855-463-3361 and referencing “ASBN” room block. Guests can also make changes or request for additional nights beyond what is listed on the reservation page through their reservations department.

All conference events will be held at Paradise Point in addition to the conference hotel accommodations.

Sustainability Commitment

ASBN is committed to hosting an event that is as close to zero waste as possible and will be working with the host hotel to achieve our sustainability goals. We will share more specific details as the event comes together regarding this commitment and aim to be as transparent as possible in this process to create an event that reflects the values our members and attendees hold.

A portion of every ticket purchased to attend ASBN 2022 will be designated to support the inclusion of conference program participants that advance ASBN’s mission to support an equitable, regenerative, and just economy for all⁠.

ASBN believes that justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion must be at the foundation for how we conduct ourselves, our public policy advocacy, and our businesses and investment activity, as we cultivate and grow our community and programs. This commitment will be at the core of how we allocate these funds.

Conference Attendance Policy

ASBN’s 2022 conference is open to members at a discounted rate and non-members. Prospective members may gain access to the discounted rate and register by applying to join ASBN here (monthly pricing is available). You can learn more about membership here. Former members (ASBN, SVC, IC, or ASBC) can renew here and then register at the discounted member rate.

COVID Health & Safety Policies & Protocols

Name tags must be worn at all times during the conference to ensure everyone has successfully met ASBN’s health and safety protocols required to participate in the conference.

Prior to being cleared for entrance to the conference, we ask that all attendees wear a mask when registering to protect ASBN staff and those around you.

ASBN 2022’s health and safety protocols follow the guidance of both the CDC and local and state health authorities as well as feedback we’ve received from the membership community. To create an environment that places the health and safety of all guests at the forefront of our approach, ASBN 2022 requires that all attendees be fully vaccinated (i.e. 2 weeks after your booster dose) before November 30, 2022 and present a negative COVID test.

Proof of vaccination will be required at the registration desk. You can meet this requirement by showing a photo or copy of your vaccination card, or the card itself. If you would like to submit this in advance, you can email [email protected] who will pre-approve your entrance on our registration list.

ASBN 2022 will accept vaccines authorized for emergency use by the US FDA and those authorized by the WHO. If you do not meet these guidelines, you will not be permitted to enter any conference areas or participate in the program, and refunds will not be provided. Offering a program where all guests and attendees are fully vaccinated enables us to offer the most robust, interactive program possible and provides for the safety and comfort of our participants and staff. Remember, if you’re not feeling well, please stay home!

All main stage programming and meals will take place outside. Masks are encouraged for indoor programming. Indoor seating will provide three feet of distance in large ovals. Following guidance from the State of California, masking is optional indoors, given ASBN’s vaccination and negative test requirements.

All attendees of ASBN 2022 will need to show a negative COVID test upon registration, regardless of vaccination status. This process may evolve, but for now is as follows:

Take a rapid test provided by registration staff. The test provided is the BinaxNOW™ COVID-19 Antigen Self Test (nasal swab). Perform the test upon registering. Within 15 minutes, your result will be ready. Present result to check-in staff.

If you test negative:

You will be handed a name badge and you are welcome to enter the event.

If you test positive:

You will be asked to immediately quarantine in your accommodations while awaiting next steps. ASBN staff will work with you to arrange PCR testing and ensure you have your needs met while on-site, including coordinating with the hotel. If you are not staying on the conference site for the duration of the conference, please let the conference staff know to coordinate additional daily intake measures.

Contact Comfort

We have created a system to self-identify and be familiar with others’ comfort level with contact. At check-in, you will choose one of the following stickers to place on your attendee badge:

Red- NO CONTACT, please try to provide three feet of distance from me

Yellow- ELBOWS ONLY, still being cautious

Green- HANDSHAKES & HIGH-FIVES, frequent hand washing & sanitizing

Given that this is most folks’ first in-person conference in a long time, please check the badge color for everyone for consent before offering a hug, etc. even if they’re someone you’ve historically been close to.

Of course, ASBN 2022 will work to provide reasonable accommodations to participate in the event if vaccination is not possible. Please reach out to [email protected] to discuss accommodations.

Cancellation Policy

ASBN is happy to fully refund your event reservation, minus a 10% administrative fee, through September 1, 2022. Between September 2 and October 1, we are happy to offer a 50% refund after deducting the 10% administrative fee. In the final two months before the event, beginning October 2 we are not able to offer any refunds. If you need to cancel your registration, please contact [email protected]. Should the event not be able to take place due to local and federal health and safety guidelines, we will provide full refunds regardless of the date of cancellation.
