About this Event
Yoga is just stretching and stuff, right?
WRONG!
Yoga is a complex discipline with 8 key parts, called limbs. Asana, the stretchy poses we do on our mat, is only one of them! Join me at Asana with Gigi to learn about the rest!
This weekly class will guide you through slow flow yoga while introducing the foundational principles of yoga, the yamas and niyamas. These 10 principles teach us how to interact with our inner and outer worlds to live a life free of suffering.
This class is perfect for beginners or experienced yogis wanting to dive deeper into yoga philosophy. Classes are held in the field behind the Anacostia Skating Rink (the side with the playground, not the basketball courts) as well as on Zoom!
